FALL AND DIVIDE
With a commitment to create great music there are a few key ingredients that should be present: creativity, style, consciousness, compromise, passion, stubbornness, and the skill to weave and perform these creations.
These are the foundations of FALL AND DIVIDE.
Made up of four individuals with a hunger to write and perform some of the best rock music of their time: Drew Wright, Paul Fonseca, Rick Vandyk and John Pacheco came together in 2009 following Drew's 2nd runner up position on Canadian Idol to form Fall and Divide
Modern rock songs are the platform for the album and not without influence from the greats before them such as Black Sabbath, Metallica, Alice in Chains, Deftones, Sound Garden, Janes Addiction, Tool and Rush just to name a few amongst the many. A great rhythm section gets the body into motion, refreshing vocals and soaring melodies are certain as are the aggressive and emotive guitars throughout.
A five song demo that garnered them top ten singles on radio stations across Ontario was just the beginning for Fall and Divide. They have spent the last two years touring throughout the country sharing stages with many note worthy groups such as The Black Crowes, Chevelle and Collective Soul, Default, and Sloan receiving warm receptions confirming their thoughts that rock and roll is not dead.
Writing over 40 songs in the past two years, they chose 11 to release for their first full length self titled debut. Set to be released officially in early December 2011 with a video to follow for the first single “Never the case”. Produced, engineered, mixed and mastered by Rich Chycki (Rush, Aerosmith & Mick Jagger) Look for the CD and video release party dates to be announced soon. Touring dates will be posted on www.fallanddivide.com
