Rock the Ice Nights consists of a battle of the bands that will be held every Thursday night from November 12th to February 28th (with the exception of Dec. 24 and 31) at the Rink at the Brink outdoor ice skating facility located at the brink of the Horseshoe Falls. Each week two high school bands would compete in a head-to-head competition with the winner earning the right to battle again. Between each band’s musical set, the latest hits from Z101 would play over the rink’s sound system. On-site and text message voting would take place to determine which band won that week’s battle. The ultimate goal - being crowned Rock the Ice Nights Champions with GREAT PRIZES!
Rock the Ice Nights would be broadcast weekly on TVCogeco in the Niagara Region and would be offered throughout the Cogeco Ontario network as a video on demand broadcast. Admission would include two hours of ice skating and skate rentals.
If you are in high school and have a band that you would like to enter in the ROCK THE ICE NIGHTS competition please contact Tina Myers Assistant Manager - Events for further details at 905-374-1616 x 26 or tina@wfol.com.
