So how did a band go from laughing stock amateurs to being called youthink magazine's 4th Best band in British Columbia? And According to Supernova, the best band in Vancouver? The short answer is "hard work" and being naive. The long answer is 3 years long, involves 6 bassists An underwater music video and a nearly-sold out show at the Vogue theatre. TheBeauties originally got together because they were a bunch of individuals in different projects that they weren't satisfied. Thebeauties started off playing Semi-circles of 10 or 15 of their friends at a time over and over again. Then thebeauties dropped their bassist who was actually just a flemenco guitarist. After that thebeauties took on another bassist for a while and then Recorded a CD and really watched the fanbase start to grow ie a show at the vogue theatre. That bassist said that it was too much work so we tried a few more until we met "Chris McClelland our current bassist. As Tall as he was talented. After winning a few battles of the bands and getting used to playing to a hundred or two hundred people every show. We decided to make another record in my basement and then record a music video entirely underwater. Maybe it wasn't such a long story afterall.
