16 year old Raejon Alford, (Young Rae), and 14 year old Shantez Alford,
(Young gee), were both born to Sidra Gillis, and known producer,
“Jon Won” in Eastern North Carolina. They were exposed to life in the studio
early by watching their father record most of the local talent coming from
their town.
They soon developed their own musical talents at the ages of 10 and 13,
and formed a duo that till this day is called “The Scrap Boyz”, and since then,
they have proven that they are no strangers to any stage.
Their music is based on every day life as a Teen. From dance, and romance,
to the streets and class room seats.
Raejon had his very own Pro tools based studio at his home in Raleigh NC,
where they create, and pre-record most of their own music, before they took
It to their father, who now owns a studio in Atlanta Ga, for further engineering
And mastering.
After the Scrap Boyz name began to grow beyond the borders of North Carolina,
it was time for Jon Won to take Them to the next level by moving them To Atlanta to further their career’s.
The Scrap Boyz call themselves the next generation of hip hop, and have
impressed their fans by designing their own clothing line, called “SB Athletics
which they wear to maintain their own unique style.
