What happens when a bilingual, closet indie-folk singer crash-lands her hot-air balloon into a genre chameleon’s electric enclosure? ITS ON is what happens! Jack is Jill isn’t about the expedition, but about the team. Floating through the already vast and hostile waters that engulf Montreal’s music scene, Val + Ben aren’t holding their breath beneath any identifiable niche and intend to continue leaving the sounds that inspire them behind for open minds and hearts. Though very new, the extensively artistic and diversely connected lives led by the duo have shot the project past the crib and into its adolescence. An arsenal of songs is in the building with the ambitious intention of rebuilding the sounds of Rome before lunch… So keep up!
