"We just wanted to make the kind of music we'd really like to listen to". That's the methodology behind Hollow Embrace. Fusing years of experience and an eclectic range of influences to create their own brand of heavy rock, Hollow Embrace has accomplished in a short time what can often take years for other bands. The roots of Hollow Embrace were originally planted in 2001 when guitarists Curtis Litchfield and Evan Jones met. Playing in various bands together over the years, it wasn't until 2007 that things began to grow. After recruiting long time friend and former Cellist Jaron Hearty on Bass - Curtis, met drummer David LeBel while working as a studio musician for fellow Lethbridge Artist Kelliane. It was then they began looking for a vocalist. The natural fit was Sterling Low, choir boy turned rocker, who had played with Curtis and Evan in previous bands. However, tragedy struck when Sterling passed away in the spring of 2008 due to complications with diabetes. Dealing with the loss of a friend and band member, it wasn't until the end of that year that they began their search for a new vocalist. After auditioning various singers throughout Lethbridge, they eventually enlisted Chris Evanson. Now with all members in place, Hollow Embrace have spent the past few months writing, recording and playing shows throughout Lethbridge, even winning Amp-all's battle of the bands off their first ever live performance. With a sound so powerful it could literally blow the roof off a venue too small, Hollow Embrace will leave you wanting nothing but the chance to see them again.
