Crowe is a Rock, Alternative, Indie band from Burlington, ON and looking for New Fans
Crowe have spent their entire existance blissfully unaware of their surroundings. Music trends come and go, but honest music never gets old. They are from an era where tone, musicianship, and song writing mattered!
The seeds of Crowe were planted in Burlington Ontario in early 2010, when four veteran musicians bonded over a shared obsession for Fuzz pedals, beer, and the love of playing loud rock n' roll. As basement jams progressed, the music almost started writing itself. Melodic guitar driven tunes, fueled by fuzzy bass lines, in the tradition of 70's rock icons!
They emerged from a foggy Suburban slumber in 2012, racking up stage time at Legendary Toronto venues like the Horseshoe Tavern, Lee's Palace, the Hideout, the Cameron House, the El Mocambo, and the Hard Rock Cafe. Crowe finished off 2012 by being featured on air as "Indie Band of the Month" on 102.1 the Edge (CFNY FM), and played to a sold out Crowd in their hometown at the Moonshine Cafe.
Dave Bookman (102.1 the Edge) described Crowe's music as “Sophisticated driving Pop. With a certain playfulness, distortion and fun in there... Which makes it something that I really dig”
2013 shaped up to be another big year, with the release of Crowe’s critically acclaimed self-titled debut album. Crowe takes it back to basics with this self-produced effort, no Pro Tools, auto-tune, DJ’s, samples or studio trickery! The result is an album full of crunchy guitars, a rocking rhythm section, and tons of hooks! The album has received consistently positive reviews from all over North America, and has been put into rotation on various radio stations across Canada. It even spent 8 weeks in the top 30 charts on local station CFMU FM 93.3 (Hamilton), peaking at #3 (March-April 2013)!
2013 also marked Crowe's Television debut, being featured on the Rogers TV show "Toronto Sessions". Crowe were also finalists in Long and McQuades National 2013 "Head to Head" band contest.
Crowe have not slowed down! They have been busy in 2013 playing live shows and promoting the new album. Not content to rest on past laurels, a new album is already in the works and will be released Feb \ March 2014.
